Creating Mandalas

I have been making mandalas for ages - since I was a child, in fact. These days I keep a mandala diary - a tiny book with white pages that fits into bags and pockets - that I have with me most days. The inspiration came from reading Carl Jung .

There are days when it is hard to put feelings and inklings in words, days when it is hard to make sense of what is happening inside. It is much easier to let the hand follow the promptings of the right brain, and leave the left brain analysis for later.

Likewise Carl Jung found that in times of inner hardship and transition he would draw circular designs (mandalas), that would much later explain to him exactly what was happening inside him...

This is one of the ways to use the mandala. But not the only one...
